In 1982, Rick Olivieri and his father, Herb, opened “Olivieri Prince of Steaks” at the historic Reading Terminal Market. On June 9th, 1995, Rick took over the store and renamed it “Rick’s Original Philly Steaks,” carrying on his grandfather's tradition as 3rd generation steak-maker!

Reading Terminal Market is the oldest, continually-running marketplace in the USA. A must-see tourist stop!

Rick’s Steaks opened to visitors of Citizens Bank Park in April 2006. Go Phils!

Rick’s Steaks was voted “THE BEST SIGNATURE BALL PARK FOOD ITEM” at CBP by ESPN Food Writers Josh Pahigian and Kevin O’Connell.  (July 2006)

Citizens Bank Park was voted "#1 BEST BALLPARK FOOD " by the first ever Food Network Awards (2007). Rick’s Steaks was mentioned among those who contributed to this #1 placement.

Rick’s Steaks helped catapult CBP to its status of "#1 VEGAN-FRIENDLY BALLPARK" with the addition of our new vegan steaks (2007). "Pop-Pop" Pat would be proud, as this award coincided nicely with the 75th Anniversary of the cheesesteak, invented by Rick’s grandfather in 1932.
